Career

When I was a child I wanted to be many things. My goal was helping people but one day of boredom my mom explained to me how to take analog photographs, and at this moment that was my dream; take photos.
In high school I was really into arts, I liked very much to make collages, videos and drawings. So that's why arts was my first choice to study at the university. My second choice was english, because I thought that I was good at it and also I enjoy to know new languages, so I was just curious about it however it was not my real passion.
In the university I understood art concepts more deeply, and discover new skills that I didn't consider before. I had challenging times but I learned of them and about myself too.
Nevertheless not everything is perfect, I love my career but I have my complains. Here

the teachers only seem to focus on the technique, and they almost don't give you any time to create.
I don't have any idea of what I want to do in the future, and it's probably because I don't want to think in that (the end is coming).

  1. Hi Sandra, I read your story, I thing that it's great that your mom teach you to use a analog camera, that it's very interesting, but I dont know if you learn photograph now, I agree with you about the form to teach at the university because sometimes the teachers thing so much in techniques and don't think in the things that we want to show, in a creative form. I wish you find your future job and so much lucky.

  2. Hi Sandra! sometimes I also thought so about the closed mind of some teachers... but with time, I learned to make my work to my way and have a very good argument, and if it was not enough, defend equally your ideas and works. Its your! An art work, is like a son, or something similar...

  3. Hi Sandra!
As you also i enjoy to know new lenguajes, and my advise for you (if you want it) is to take advantage of the techniques and you create in your home or where you like it. You don´t lose your love for your career because of others.
    Bye!
